My Latest Commissoned Work

Is now in the hands of it's owner. I'll be posting a 'process' blog entry when I get all the photos downloaded but in the meantime she wanted to share it with some friends so I'm just posting the finished piece.

Size is 29" W x 27" L

As many of you know; Celtic knot work is labor intensive. The calligraphy is all done by hand; not computer generated or traced. It is hand painted with a combination of liquitex ink; acrylic ink & watercolor pencils.

Clicking the images will make them bigger.

Thank you Deb, it was an honor to create this for you.

This is the label on the back; it's roughly 8 1/2" x 11". The initials are Deb's & her late husbands', Joe.

  1. from Deb on FB: "This piece is so very special to me - commissioned in memory of the love and light of my life and made by a dear and caring friend who, through the common bond of love of the Irish language knew exactly what to do with my scatterd and roughly stated ideas. She turned a blocky and linear idea into the sweeping and flowing statement of love that is everything I imagined it would be and more!"

  3. I've had this piece on hand since February 18th. I can not put into the right words just how much I love - truly LOVE - this piece. It means everything to me. I have hung it in my bedroom where it is the last thing that I see at night and the first thing I see in the morning - just as my beloved husband was. I sometimes just stand in front of this beautiful artwork and look at all of the fine detail and cry. I am so very grateful for the twists and turns of events that led Stacy and I to become friends. She is awesomely talented and I feel blessed to own one of her original works.
