This Calligraphy piece is done on a single piece of silk. I used a light box (with lined sheet under the fabric) and simply wrote out all the verses/quotes I wanted. They alternate from the Declaration of the Easter Rising 1916 in Ireland to Martin Luther King Jr., John F. Kennedy, & The Declaration of Independance.

The challenge title was 'Walking the Straight & Narrow' sponsored by QuiltArt.

I did all the calligraphy, drew the Irish Insular Knotwork border and the bottom of the scroll features an 'Illuminated' page that has my initials. SLH.
