@Cindy, Yes, photos. I have lots of bird books but none really on owls. One recent issue of Birds & Blooms magazine featured owls (only two pages) and I used them as guides. I'm trying to draw for a period of time each night so I grab the nearest magazine or book to hand & open & draw. It's good excersize for my right brain!
