Reflections - Dinner at Eight Acceptance!!
It is with great pride that I can now share this work that was juried into the Dinner at Eight exhibition for Houston this fall.
I admit I was very concerned that this work wouldn't make the cut and I am so
My piece is called
"Let it Go"
It is my personal reflection of a period of years of my life when tremendous changes had occurred. Before I destroy all my journals in an effort to truly 'let it all go' (and after my first attempt at this theme failed to work) I decided to try something I had in mind.
The lines of text are unedited from my personal journals from 2007 to 2011.
This work is a whole cloth piece that is all hand painted, hand lettered and machine stitched.
24" W x 60" L
I am thrilled and honored to be included in this remarkable group of artists and their inspiring art!
Thank you Jamie Fingal & Leslie Tucker Jenison!

Other than those words, I am speechless.

ReplyDeleteGORGEOUS!!! You are fabulously talented.
ReplyDeleteStacy, this is wonderful! Congratulations. (Wish I had had the good sense to stop and start over when I felt my piece wasn't working. It didn't make it.) But I can't wait to see all of these buttes in Houston.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, your work is like no others and it is stunning
