Samurai Kitty

Made this little kitty out of Japanese Indigo fabrics and white velvet. 

I really enjoy the process of hand stitching with Sashiko thread is so relaxing and fun.

The inspiration for this kitty was the buttons.  I don't normally use buttons for cat eyes but these were just so cool looking.  

I did an origami Samurai Hat out of old paper money from China my Grandfather brought back from WWII.  This one was a 100 yen note.

The nose is was a button that I cut into quarters.
